Over the past year of implementing its groundbreaking and unequalled Climate Change virtual school, DRI has built a considerably large group of its alumni. DRI cherishes the richness of diversity, depth and fervency that characterises this unique group. Among the people are leaders in government departments, academic and business circles, nongovernmental organisations to mention a few. In spite of the short interaction bounded by the duration of the four week course, DRI believes in a longer term, fruitful and mutually rewarding relationship with its alumni, extending well beyond the confines of the study period and the virtual platform of interaction. Based on this belief, DRI has tailored a mechanism to foster and cement the relationship between the organisation and the wide array of its present and future alumni as well as between the members of the alumni themselves.
Firstly upon registering as a member of the alumni, the members will receive special access rights into an unlimited world of its virtual platform replete with interesting and useful and up to date information, literature resources and opportunities in the area of climate change and development. On the same platform members will also enjoy sharing thoughts and reflections on selected topics on the interactive platform.
Also as part of the Alumni services, the Institute will grant its Alumni a special package at its centre in Harare. Part of the benefits will include access information resources, the “Dev Spot” which provides Internet access while use up to agreed volumes of usage, teas and others all at the expense of the organisation!
The Institute will also provide an opportunity for the alumni to reach a wider audience with their opinion articles as guest editors and special correspondents in our monthly newsletter. Time and again, some distinguished writers will also get an opportunity to present their articles to local and international audience.
The benefits accruing to the active members are endless. Register now!
